Meet Fern & Nettle Doula
My name is Weronika Walker and I am the doula behind Fern & Nettle Doula Services, offering full-spectrum doula care.
I currently live and work in Cambridge, Ontario.
Why Fern & Nettle? Both of those plants are important to me personally, but they are also charged with symbolic meaning. Ferns are said to symbolize new life, family, happiness and shelter; they are used as medicinal plants in many cultures. Nettles are a symbol of fertility and protection and are a powerful source of many minerals and vitamins. What's not to love?
I acknowledge that I get to live, work and play on a traditional territory of Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Neutral People. As an immigrant to this country, I'm immensely grateful for those who cared for this beautiful land for generations before colonization and continue to do so today.
All individuals who identify as Indigenous get 10% discount on my doula services.
Fern & Nettle Doula is committed to providing inclusive, non-judgemental care. That involves caring for clients from all backgrounds, races and cultures. It means working with people of all genders and sexual orientations.
